A RUNWAY SHOW FOR SURVIVORS

Rape survivors are powerful, beautiful, intelligent, and amazing people who live with the pain of their traumas. This show allowed us to create floral gear that empowered the survivors. We invited survivors to participate as models. Out of a dozen runway models, a third were survivors. Models wore floral designs reminiscent of shields, body armor, and superhero capes. We wanted to give the beauty back to these individuals and make them feel empowered. We all know somebody who has been a victim … even if they have not told us.
